The Orange That Saved Zom
Lily loved her garden. Every morning, she watered her pumpkins and sang to her sunflowers. But behind the old oak tree, something strange was happening.
A small figure emerged from the fallen leaves. He was greenish-gray, with stitches on his elbows and a kind but worried face. His name was Zom, and he was a gentle zombie who had woken up after a very long nap under the tree.
"Hello," Zom said shyly. "I'm feeling very tired and creaky."
Lily wasn't scared at all. She could see that Zom needed help. His clothes were tattered, and he moved slowly, like a rusty robot.
"My grandma says ORANGE foods give you energy!" Lily exclaimed. She ran to her kitchen and grabbed the brightest, juiciest orange from the fruit bowl.
When Zom took a bite, something magical happened. The orange juice sparkled like tiny stars running through his body. His greenish skin turned a healthy pink. His eyes brightened. He did a little jump!
"I feel wonderful!" Zom cheered. "That ORANGE must have had a special VITAMIN inside it—the friendship vitamin!"
Lily laughed. "Maybe that's exactly what it was."
From that day on, Zom became the guardian of Lily's garden. He helped plants grow with his gentle touch, and he never got tired again. Every morning, he ate an orange, and every afternoon, he and Lily had adventures.
They discovered that the best medicine isn't found in bottles—it's found in kindness, friendship, and sharing what you have with others. Even a zombie and a little girl could become the best of friends, all because of one orange and an open heart.
And whenever Zom felt a little creaky, he knew exactly what to do: find an orange, find a friend, and let the magic begin.
