The Orange That Danced With Lightning
Finn was a small silver fish who lived in the deepest part of the Blue Sea. Every night, he would swim up to the surface and watch the sky. His friends said he was silly, but Finn loved looking at the stars and the mysterious lights that flashed above the water during storms.
One evening, the sky turned dark and purple. Storm clouds gathered like fluffy gray mountains. Finn watched as something round and bright orange fell from a ship above, splashing into the water beside him. It was an orange!
Just then, a bolt of lightning shot across the sky like a crackling ribbon of light. ZAP! The lightning touched the water, and something magical happened. The orange began to glow with a soft golden light.
"Who are you?" Finn asked, amazed.
"I'm Clementine," said the orange in a tiny, bubbly voice. "The lightning gave me magic powers!"
Clementine could float and dance through the water, leaving trails of light that looked like tiny stars. She showed Finn how her glow could help fish see in the dark ocean depths.
"My friends are lost in the deep caves," said a worried octopus. "They can't find their way home."
Finn and Clementine swam down together. Clementine's orange glow lit up the dark caves, guiding the lost fish to safety. All the sea creatures cheered!
That night, Finn wasn't lonely anymore. He had made a wonderful friend who was different from everyone else, and together they had done something amazing.
Sometimes, the most unexpected friendships are the most wonderful ones. And just like Clementine needed lightning to discover her magic, we sometimes need others to help us shine our brightest.
