The Orange That Could Fly
Luna was a girl who loved breakfast, especially her morning orange. But this orange was different. It glowed like a tiny sun!
"What makes you so bright?" Luna whispered, picking up the orange.
To her surprise, the orange rolled right out of her hand and started running across the kitchen table! Luna chased after it, giggling. The orange rolled faster and faster, right out the open door.
"Wait!" Luna called, running barefoot across the cool morning grass.
The orange led her to a place she'd never noticed before—a secret garden where everything was orange. Orange flowers bloomed like tiny trumpets. Orange butterflies danced in the air like living confetti. Even the morning sunshine painted everything in warm golden light.
In the center stood an ancient orange tree. The glowing orange rolled to its roots and transformed into a tiny orange fairy with wings like stained glass.
"Hello, Luna!" the fairy chimed. "I've been waiting for someone who truly appreciates oranges."
Luna's eyes widened. "You can talk?"
"And grant wishes," the fairy said. "This garden grows something very special—friendship vitamins. They're invisible, but they make your heart grow stronger."
The fairy sprinkled orange dust over Luna. "Now you'll always have courage when you're scared, kindness when you're angry, and wonder when life feels ordinary."
Luna felt warm inside, like drinking sunshine. "Thank you!"
"Remember," the fairy said, "the best vitamins come from friendship, adventures, and never losing your sense of wonder."
Luna ran home, her heart full. The secret garden faded, but she knew it would always be there whenever she needed it.
That night, Luna's orange juice tasted extra magical. She smiled, knowing that somewhere, tiny friendship vitamins were dancing in her heart, making her brave, kind, and full of wonder.
And sometimes, when nobody was looking, she could still see that little orange fairy winking at her from the morning sun.
