The Orange Starfish's Secret

Lily loved exploring tide pools, but today she found something extraordinary—a tiny orange starfish that seemed to sparkle with underwater magic. When she gently touched it, the starfish whispered, "Follow me!"

The starfish led Lily to a hidden cove where the water was deep and mysterious. "Are you ready for swimming adventures?" the starfish asked. Lily nodded, slipping into the cool blue water. To her amazement, she could breathe underwater!

Suddenly, something massive and gentle glided past. Lily gasped—it was a bull! But not an ordinary bull. This magnificent creature had shimmering silver scales instead of fur, and his horns were made of coral. "I'm Coral Bull, guardian of the deep seas," he rumbled kindly. "And you must be the curious human the orange starfish told me about."

Coral Bull became Lily's instant friend. "My people built something wonderful long ago," he explained, pointing to a thick, glowing cable that stretched from the ocean floor all the way up, up, up toward the surface. "This magic cable connects our underwater kingdom to the world above. But it's been lonely here for so long."

Lily's eyes widened. "Can I help?"

"Hold onto the cable, and think about someone you'd like to visit," Coral Bull said.

Lily gripped the warm, humming cable and thought of her grandmother who lived far away. WHOOSH! She was suddenly looking through her grandmother's window, seeing her smiling face! The cable wasn't just any cable—it was a friendship bridge between worlds!

Every day after that, Lily used the magic cable to visit friends and family, always returning with new stories for Coral Bull. She learned that true friendship doesn't need to be close to be strong, and that kindness can connect us in magical ways.

The orange starfish still whispers to other curious children, and Coral Bull still guards the friendship cable, waiting for new friends to discover its wonder.
