The Orange Sphinx's Secret

Lily loved running through the park, her orange sneakers flashing like sunshine. But today was special—today she discovered something magical behind the old willow tree.

A tiny sphinx no bigger than a kitten sat beside a sparkling puddle. Its wings shimmered like pearls, and its eyes twinkled with ancient wisdom.

"I am Cleo," the sphinx said in a voice like chiming bells. "And I've been waiting for someone with running shoes full of dreams."

Lily's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"

"Of course," Cleo said. "I guard the most magical treasure in the world." She nudged forward a small glowing orange bottle. "This holds the Wonder Vitamin—but it only works for brave hearts."

"What does it do?" Lily asked.

"Let me show you." Cleo tapped the bottle, and suddenly the puddle grew into a pool of crystal blue water. "Take one drop, and you'll discover that water isn't just for swimming. It's for dancing, for singing, for believing in impossible things."

Lily took the tiny orange bottle. Her hands trembled, but something inside her whispered, *trust*. One drop on her tongue tasted like sunshine and stardust.

Suddenly, she could walk on water! Each step created ripples of rainbow colors. Cleo flew beside her as they skipped across the magical pool, leaving trails of golden sparkles.

"The secret," Cleo said, "isn't the vitamin. It's believing you're magical enough to try."

Lily laughed, spinning on the water like a skating princess. "This is the best adventure ever!"

When she returned to the park, her orange sneakers were still orange, her legs were still made for running—but now she knew the truth. Every puddle was a portal, every day an adventure, and magic was real for those brave enough to believe.

She hugged Cleo goodbye. "I'll never forget this."

"Nor I you, brave runner," the sphinx whispered, disappearing like morning mist.

That day, Lily learned that the real magic vitamin wasn't orange or bottled—it was the courage to say "yes" to adventure, even when it seems impossible. And from then on, every run through the park felt like flying.
