The Orange Sphinx Adventure
Lily and Sam were playing padel in the park on a sunny Saturday morning. Lily swung her racquet and—POOF!—the ball hit a glowing orange that had suddenly appeared on the court.
Instead of bursting into juice like a normal orange, it burst into sparkling golden light! When the sparkles cleared, Lily and Sam weren't at the park anymore. They stood before a magnificent pyramid in the middle of a golden desert.
"Where are we?" Sam whispered, clutching his racquet tight.
A deep, gentle voice answered, "You have arrived at the Pyramid of Wonders."
Lily gasped. A giant sphinx with the body of a lion and the head of a kind woman smiled down at them. Her fur shimmered like sunshine.
"I am Princess Sphinx," she said. "Every hundred years, someone special finds the Magic Orange. You must solve my riddle to return home."
The sphinx's eyes twinkled. "I can fly without wings. I can cry without eyes. Wherever I go, darkness follows me. What am I?"
Lily and Sam huddled together. They thought about everything they knew—clouds, birds, even the padel racquets in their hands.
"A cloud!" Lily shouted. "Clouds fly but don't have wings, and they bring rain which is like crying. And when they cover the sun, it gets dark!"
The sphinx beamed. "Correct! You have shown wisdom and friendship."
She touched the orange they still held, and they were suddenly swimming through a river of stars, laughing as they twirled through the galaxy.
When they opened their eyes, they were back at the padel court. The glowing orange had become ordinary again. But in their pockets, they each found a small golden pyramid charm.
"Best friends forever," Lily said.
"And ready for any adventure," Sam agreed.
They learned that the best magic isn't in oranges or pyramids—it's in facing challenges together with a friend by your side.
