The Orange Sky Baseball

Leo sat in his backyard, tossing his baseball up and down. "I wish I had someone to play with," he sighed.

Just then, his dog Buster trotted over, carrying something bright and round in his mouth.

"Good boy, Buster! What do you have there?" Leo reached into Buster's fuzzy mouth and pulled out a glowing orange. It shimmered like captured sunshine, making little sparkles dance in the air.

"This isn't a regular orange," whispered Leo. He peeled it carefully, and instead of sticky juice, out popped a tiny fairy made of light! She fluttered her glowing wings and sprinkled golden dust all over Buster.

"I'm Sunny the Vitamin Fairy!" she chirped. "This orange has magic sunshine vitamins inside. Now Buster can talk!"

Buster's tail thumped. "Leo! My best friend! I've always wanted to tell you how much I love playing catch!"

Leo gasped with delight. "Buster, you can talk! This is the best day ever!"

Sunny sprinkled more dust, and suddenly Leo and Buster were floating up, up, up into the sky. They landed on a fluffy cloud that had been transformed into a magical baseball diamond.

"The magic vitamins gave us cloud-walking powers!" barked Buster happily.

They played the most wonderful game of baseball, hitting stars that made twinkling sounds when they connected with the bat. The bases were made of moonbeams, and the outfield stretched across the sunset-painted sky.

When they floated back down to earth, Sunny gave Leo a hug. "Remember, the best magic of all is friendship. It's the most important vitamin for your heart."

Leo hugged Buster tight. "I'll never forget this day, Buster. You're not just my dog—you're my magical friend."

And every summer evening, when the sky turns orange like a glowing vitamin, Leo and Buster play baseball in their backyard, wondering if Sunny will return for another sky-high adventure.
