The Orange Pyramid Secret
Lily loved Saturdays, especially when she could spend them in her grandmother's backyard. But today was different. As she was running through the tall grass, something caught her eye — a glowing orange pyramid, no bigger than a shoebox, sitting right beneath the old oak tree.
Lily knelt down, her heart beating fast. The pyramid pulsed like a tiny heartbeat, its orange surface shimmering in the sunlight. When she touched it, warm tingles rushed up her fingers, and suddenly the backyard dissolved into swirling colors.
When the colors cleared, Lily stood in a magnificent crystal city. But something was wrong. The city's colors were fading, turning gray and dull. A small creature with fur like cotton candy approached her sadly.
"The Joy Crystal has been stolen," the creature whispered. "Without it, our world loses all happiness."
Lily remembered the orange pyramid in her pocket. "Maybe this can help!"
The creature's eyes widened. "That's the Compass of Courage! Only someone truly brave can use it to find the Joy Crystal."
Lily's hands trembled, but she held the pyramid high. "Show me the way!" she called out.
The orange pyramid glowed brighter than ever, revealing a path to a dark cave. Inside, a grumpy shadow creature guarded the Joy Crystal.
"You'll never get it back!" the shadow growled.
Lily noticed something — the shadow looked lonely. "You took the crystal because you wanted joy too, didn't you?"
The shadow paused. "Nobody ever shared joy with me."
"Then let's share it together!" Lily placed the orange pyramid between them. It split into two smaller pyramids, one orange, one soft blue.
The shadow's eyes filled with tears. "Nobody's ever wanted to share with me before."
When the Joy Crystal returned to the crystal city, colors burst forth everywhere. The shadow transformed into a beautiful star-child, now the guardian of happiness.
"You taught us something important," the star-child told Lily. "True joy grows when shared with friends."
As Lily found herself back in her grandmother's backyard, she smiled, clutching her now-blue pyramid. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is share what makes you happy — especially with someone who needs it most.
