The Orange Pyramid Secret

zombieorangepyramid

Lily and Sam were exploring their grandmother's attic when they found something strange behind an old trunk: a pyramid made entirely of glowing oranges!

"How is this staying up?" Sam whispered, reaching out to touch the fruit pyramid. But when his fingers brushed against an orange, the whole pyramid began to spin.

Suddenly, they weren't in the attic anymore. They stood in a magical orchard where trees grew upside down from the sky, and tiny lights floated like fireflies.

"Hello there!" a voice called.

Lily and Sam turned to see a green figure shuffling toward them. It had messy hair and mismatched clothes, but the friendliest smile they'd ever seen.

"I'm Zed," the figure said. "I'm the zombie gardener!"

"A zombie?" Sam squeaked, hiding behind Lily.

"Not a scary zombie!" Zed laughed. "I'm the guardian of the Orange Grove. This special orchard grows the most magical fruit in all the worlds. Each orange grants one wish to someone who truly needs it."

Zed explained that long ago, he had been a regular boy who loved helping his grandmother in her garden. When she got sick, he wished on a falling star to be able to care for her trees forever. The magic granted his wish—but it also turned him into a zombie gardener, immortal and bound to the grove.

"I've been waiting 200 years for someone to find this place," Zed said sadly. "Being the keeper is lonely work."

Lily and Sam looked at each other. "We can be your friends," Lily said. "We can visit whenever you want!"

Zed's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Really!" Sam nodded. "But first... can we try an orange?"

Zed handed them each a glowing fruit from the pyramid. "What will you wish for?"

Lily thought hard. "I wish for Grandmother's attic to always have magical adventures for us to find."

Sam grinned. "And I wish that Zed can visit our world whenever he wants, so he's never lonely again!"

The oranges pulsed with golden light. suddenly, Zed's clothes brightened, and his green skin shimmered.

"Your wish freed me from the curse!" Zed cheered. "But I can still visit the Orange Grove anytime—and now I can visit you too!"

When they returned to the attic, nothing looked different. But in the corner, a small orange pyramid glowed softly, and Zed was already planning their next adventure.

Sometimes, Lily and Sam learned, the scariest-looking things can turn out to be the best friends of all.
