The Orange Pyramid's Secret

Seven-year-old Lily lived in a small blue house beside the sparkling river. Every morning, she would skip down to the water's edge to say hello to the fish and watch the dragonflies dance.

One sunny Tuesday, something strange appeared on the riverbank—a perfect little pyramid made entirely of glowing orange slices. Lily gasped. The oranges weren't sticky or messy. They shimmered like tiny suns arranged in a magical stack.

"Who made you?" she whispered, reaching out to touch the nearest slice.

As her finger grazed the orange, the pyramid began to spin slowly. A tiny voice giggled from somewhere inside it. "You found us! Finally!"

Lily jumped back as the orange slices tumbled apart and formed themselves into a tiny creature about the size of her hand—a glowing orange boy with a pyramid-shaped hat.

"I'm Oliver!" the creature said. "And I need your help. My family lives at the bottom of the river, but the water has become too cloudy for us to find our way home. We got separated trying to visit the surface world."

Lily's heart squeezed with sympathy. "I can help! But how?"

"You're small enough to reach through the reeds and clear the path," Oliver explained. "Will you come with me?"

Without hesitation, Lily took Oliver's hand. To her surprise, they didn't sink into the water. Instead, they floated through it as if it were air. All around her, the river transformed into a magical kingdom of shimmering towers and swaying forests made of water-plants.

They found Oliver's family—dozens of tiny orange creatures—trapped behind a wall of fallen branches and river stones. Working together, Lily and Oliver cleared the path, creating an opening for the family to swim through.

"Thank you, Lily!" Oliver's family cheered. "You saved us!"

The oldest orange creature, Oliver's grandmother, pressed something into Lily's hand—a small orange seed that glowed with warmth. "Whenever you need help, hold this tight. True friends are never far away."

Lily woke up on the riverbank, the sun still shining. Had it been a dream? But in her pocket, something pulsed with gentle warmth—the glowing orange seed.

From that day on, Lily never felt alone. And sometimes, when the river sparkled just right, she could see tiny orange pyramids dancing beneath the waves, reminding her that kindness creates magic that lasts forever.
