The Orange Pyramid's Secret
Lily loved exploring the woods behind her house. Every Saturday, she would run through the trees, discovering new streams and secret hiding spots. But one sunny afternoon, she found something extraordinary.
By the trickling water of Silver Creek, an orange pyramid stood glowing softly. It wasn't like the pyramids in her books – this one was small, only as tall as her knees, and it pulsed with warm golden light. The pyramid had strange symbols that twinkled like tiny stars.
Lily reached out to touch it. *Whoosh!* The pyramid split open, revealing a tiny fairy named Zola with wings like stained glass.
"Thank you for finding me!" Zola said. "I've been trapped for three hundred years!"
Lily's eyes widened. "Are you a real fairy?"
Zola nodded. "The water nymphs hid me here to keep me safe from the Shadow King. But now the water is rising, and I need your help."
Without hesitation, Lily was running faster than she'd ever run before, following Zola's directions up the mossy hill. They had to build a shelter for the magical orange pyramid before the floodwaters reached it.
Together, they stacked stones and branches, creating a protective circle. Just as the last stone was placed, rain began to fall – gentle drops that quickly grew stronger. The water from the swollen stream crept higher and higher.
But the orange pyramid stayed safe inside their shelter, glowing brighter than ever.
"You saved me," Zola said, flying around Lily in gratitude. "For your kindness and courage, I'll grant you one wish."
Lily thought carefully. "I wish that whenever someone needs help, they'll find a friend like I found in you."
Zola's wings shimmered. "Granted. From now on, children everywhere will discover friends in the most unexpected places – by water, in trees, even in their own backyards."
That night, Lily fell asleep wondering how many other magical secrets were hidden in the world, waiting for someone kind enough to find them.
