The Orange Pyramid's Secret
Leo loved **running** through the meadow behind his house, especially when the sky turned dark and stormy. His feet would patter against the grass like rain on a tin roof.
One evening, as **lightning** flashed across the purple sky, Leo spotted something he'd never seen before. A glowing **pyramid** stood at the edge of the forest, its sides shimmering like captured sunshine.
The pyramid was the color of a ripe **orange**, bright and warm against the gray storm clouds. Leo approached slowly, his heart beating like a tiny drum.
"Hello?" he called out.
A squeaky voice answered, "Hello! I've been waiting for someone brave enough to visit during a storm!"
From behind the orange pyramid popped a tiny creature with fur the color of autumn leaves and enormous eyes that sparkled like diamonds.
"I'm Zing!" the creature said. "This pyramid is my home. It only appears during storms because that's when magic is strongest!"
Leo's eyes widened. "Really?"
"Really!" Zing bounced excitedly. "Would you like to see something amazing?"
Zing tapped the pyramid's side, and suddenly orange light spilled out, forming pictures in the air—stories of friendship, kindness, and brave children who helped others.
"Every storm, I wait for someone kindhearted to visit," Zing explained. "The pyramid magic only works for children who care about others."
Leo smiled. "I bring soup to Mrs. Higgins every Thursday. She can't cook anymore."
"That's perfect!" Zing clapped tiny hands. "Your kindness has unlocked the pyramid's special gift!"
Zing pressed a small orange stone into Leo's palm. "Now YOU can help others. When someone needs kindness, this stone will glow warm."
As the storm passed, the pyramid faded into mist. But Leo knew the magic was real—because sometimes, the most wonderful discoveries come when we're brave enough to explore, kind enough to care, and open enough to believe in impossible things.
And every Thursday, as Leo brought soup to Mrs. Higgins, his orange stone would glow softly, reminding him that kindness is the greatest magic of all.
