The Orange Pyramid's Secret
Lily loved collecting treasures on the beach. One sunny morning, she found something extraordinary — an orange pyramid the size of her palm, glowing like a tiny sunset.
"What are you?" she whispered, turning it in her hands. To her astonishment, the pyramid hummed back!
Suddenly, the sand beneath her feet rippled like water. A nose poked through — first wet and black, then a head covered in shaggy brown fur. It was a bear!
"Don't be scared," said the bear, shaking sand from his ears. "I'm Barnaby. I've been waiting for someone to find that pyramid."
"Waiting for what?" Lily asked, her heart racing with excitement.
"To save my friend!" Barnaby explained. "The Great Bull who guards the Magic Waterfall has lost his courage. Only the orange pyramid can help him remember."
Lily clutched the glowing pyramid. "Let's go!"
They followed Barnaby through a hidden cave behind the cliffs. The walls sparkled like stars, and a stream of crystal water flowed beside them. At the end stood the most magnificent creature Lily had ever seen — a bull with golden horns that shimmered in the cave's light.
But the bull looked sad, his head hung low.
"He forgot how brave he is," Barnaby whispered. "The pyramid shows true courage."
Lily approached the bull gently. "Hello?"
The bull raised his head slowly. His eyes were kind but frightened.
"I brought something for you," Lily said, holding out the orange pyramid. It glowed brighter, casting warm golden light on them all. In its reflection, Lily saw something amazing — images of the bull protecting forest animals, standing strong against storms, guiding lost travelers home.
"Look!" she cried. "That's you! You're so brave!"
The bull's eyes widened as he watched his own courageous story unfold in the pyramid's light. His golden horns began to shine brighter than ever.
"I... I had forgotten," the bull rumbled softly. "Thank you, little friend."
He dipped his horn into a nearby pool of magic water. The water turned rainbow colors!
"For you," the bull said. "One splash gives courage whenever you need it."
Lily splashed her face. She felt warm and strong inside.
"You'll always be brave now," Barnaby said. "Because true courage is remembering you have it."
That night, Lily tucked the orange pyramid under her pillow, knowing that whenever she felt scared, she could remember — she was brave, she was kind, and she had made friends with a bear and a magic bull in a cave behind the beach.
Some adventures, she learned, are as close as your own courage — and sometimes, all you need is a friend to help you remember.
