The Orange Pyramid of Wishes

Emma loved spending summers at her grandmother's farm. Every afternoon, she would explore the dusty attic, finding old treasures like porcelain dolls and wooden soldiers. But one rainy Tuesday, she discovered something extraordinary – a tiny ceramic bull no bigger than her thumb, painted with golden horns and eyes that seemed to twinkle.

That night, Emma awoke to a soft tapping sound. To her wonder, the ceramic bull was dancing on her nightstand! 'I'm Barnaby,' the bull announced in a voice like gentle bells. 'For one hundred years, I've been waiting for someone kind enough to find me.'

Barnaby led Emma through moonlit fields until they reached the garden's center. There, glowing softly against the midnight sky, stood a beautiful pyramid made entirely of crystal oranges. 'This is the Orange Pyramid of Wishes,' Barnaby explained. 'It grants one wish to whoever finds it. But beware – only wishes made for others will come true.'

Emma's heart raced. She could wish for anything! A castle, a flying horse, infinite candy. But as she looked at Barnaby, who had waited so long just to help someone, she knew what to do.

'I wish,' Emma said, touching the glowing fruit, 'that my grandmother's broken leg would heal so she could dance with me at the summer festival.'

The oranges flared brighter than sunshine. Magic swirled around them like rainbow ribbons. Barnaby smiled. 'You've discovered the pyramid's secret, Emma. The purest wishes are those we make for others.'

The next morning, Emma's grandmother woke up pain-free. That evening, they danced together at the festival under real orange paper lanterns. And though Barnaby returned to ceramic form, Emma sometimes saw his tiny golden horn glinting in the sunlight – a reminder that the best magic lives in a kind heart.
