The Orange Pyramid Mystery
Lily and Sam were playing padel in the park when something extraordinary happened. The sky turned a brilliant shade of orange, and right before their eyes, a small golden pyramid began to rise from the grass.
"What is that?" Lily whispered, her padel racket dangling from her hand.
The pyramid pulsed with warm light. Something glinted inside it—a baseball, but not like any baseball they'd ever seen. This one glowed with tiny stars that swirled like a miniature galaxy.
Sam stepped closer. "It looks like it wants us to follow."
A shimmering cable extended from the pyramid's peak, stretching into the clouds. Without thinking, Lily grasped it. The cable felt warm, like holding a sunbeam.
"Come on!" she called, and Sam grabbed her hand.
Together, they were lifted gently into the air, floating upward through orange mist. The cable led them to a magical stadium floating above the clouds, where children from different worlds played a game that looked like baseball mixed with dreams.
An elder with silver hair approached. "You've been chosen for the Orange Pyramid Games. The winner gets one wish—for themselves or for someone else."
Lily and Sam competed fairly, helping other players when they stumbled. In the final round, Sam had a chance to win but stopped to help a younger player who had fallen.
The elder smiled. "Sam has shown the true spirit of the games. You may both make a wish."
Lily thought carefully. "I wish that every child who feels lonely could find a friend like Sam."
Sam nodded. "And I wish for endless orange sunsets that bring families together."
The pyramid glowed brighter than ever. When they returned to the park, something had changed. Everywhere they looked, children were laughing together. And that evening, the most beautiful orange sunset painted the sky—not just for them, but for the whole world to see.
Sometimes, Lily and Sam still find orange pyramid-shaped leaves near the padel court. They know now that magic isn't about winning. It's about kindness, friendship, and wishes made from the heart.
