The Orange Portal

Lily's eyes widened as she peeled the strange orange she'd found in her grandmother's attic. The fruit glowed with an inner light, and when she touched it, the world around her shimmered like sunshine on water.

Suddenly, she stood before a golden pyramid rising from a sea of purple sand. The air smelled like cotton candy and starlight.

"Hello, little friend!" a green creature called out. He looked like a zombie but with sparkling eyes and a friendly smile. "I'm Zed, and I've been waiting for someone like you for three hundred years!"

Lily's heart beat fast, but Zed's gentle voice made her brave. "Are you... scary?"

"Only if you're mean to vegetables," Zed winked. "I'm the guardian of the Vitamin Pyramid. Inside, we have the most magical vitamins in the universe. They give you the power of kindness!"

Lily gasped. "My little brother Tommy is sick. He needs vitamins!"

Zed nodded. "Then we must hurry! But first, you must prove your heart is pure. Will you share your orange with me?"

Lily looked at her magical fruit, then remembered her mother's words about sharing. She broke the glowing orange in half and gave Zed the biggest piece.

The pyramid's doors opened with a sound like bells ringing. Inside, bottles of vitamins floated in the air, each one containing a different superpower: courage, friendship, laughter, and love.

"Take only what you need," Zed whispered. "And remember, the most powerful vitamin is kindness."

Lily's pocket buzzed. Her iPhone had come with her! She took a picture of Zed and the magical pyramid. "Can I show this to my friends?"

"Only if you promise to tell them the truth," Zed smiled. "Magic exists in every kind heart."

When Lily returned home, she found Tommy sleeping peacefully. The vitamins from the pyramid shimmered on her nightstand, but she knew the real magic was something else.

Every day after that, Lily shared her oranges, helped others, and told stories about the friendly zombie who taught her that true magic comes from a generous heart. And whenever life felt difficult, she remembered Zed's words: kindness is the most powerful vitamin of all.

Sometimes, late at night, Lily would look at her iPhone photo of the pyramid and smile, knowing that magic is real for anyone brave enough to share their orange.
