The Orange Pool of Wishes
Luna was a small golden **dog** with floppy ears and a heart full of dreams. Every morning, she would go **running** through the meadow behind her house, her tail wagging like a happy flag.
One sunny afternoon, Luna discovered something she had never seen before. Behind the tall oak tree, there was a hidden **pool** of water. But this wasn't just any pool—it shimmered with a magical **orange** glow, like captured sunshine!
"Hello there, little friend," said a deep, gentle voice.
Luna jumped and turned around. Standing there was a giant brown **bear** with kind eyes and a friendly smile. Luna had always been told to be afraid of bears, but this bear looked different.
"I'm Barney," the bear said softly. "And this is the Orange Pool of Wishes. Once every hundred years, it appears to grant one special wish to those who are pure of heart."
Luna's eyes grew wide. "Really? But I'm just a small dog. What could I possibly wish for?"
Barney sat down beside her. "The best wishes aren't for ourselves. They're for others."
Luna thought about her owner, Emma, who had been sad lately because her grandmother was sick in the hospital. Luna knew exactly what to wish for.
"I wish for Emma's grandmother to get better," Luna said with all her heart.
The orange water sparkled brighter than ever, and a warm golden light spread across the meadow. Luna felt a wonderful tingly feeling all over.
The next morning, Luna went **running** to Emma's house as usual. But today was different—Emma was crying happy tears.
"Luna! Grandma's better! The doctors said it's a miracle!" Emma hugged her tight.
Luna's tail wagged harder than ever. She looked toward the meadow and saw Barney waving from behind the oak tree. The magical orange pool was gone, but something much better remained—friendship and the knowledge that even a small dog could make a big difference with a kind heart.
From that day on, Luna and Barney became the best of friends, meeting by the oak tree to share stories and adventures. And Luna learned that the biggest magic of all isn't in wishes—it's in kindness, friendship, and love.
