The Orange Pool of Stars

Lily was a curious girl who loved swimming more than anything. Every summer, she'd visit her grandmother's house, where the most magical pool waited. It wasn't just any pool—this pool glowed orange at sunset, like a giant piece of sunset captured in water!

One warm evening, Lily noticed something strange. Tiny orange lights were dancing in the pool like little stars. "What are those?" she whispered, leaning closer to the water's edge.

Suddenly, a friendly voice bubbled up. "We're Vitamin Stars!"

A tiny orange creature popped up from the water, sparkling like a living sunset. "I'm Sunny! Every summer, children find us while swimming in this magical pool. Each Vitamin Star has a special power to share with those who need it most."

Lily's eyes widened with wonder. "Can I find more?"

"Only if you promise to share them with others who need help," Sunny said. "The magic only works when given freely."

Lily nodded eagerly. She dove into the warm orange water, swimming deeper than ever before. The water felt like liquid sunshine! She found five more Vitamin Stars—each glowing brighter than the last.

There was Energy, who gave tired children strength; Happy, who brought smiles to sad faces; Brave, who helped scared kids be courageous; Peace, who calmed angry feelings; and Dreamy, who inspired wonderful ideas at bedtime.

Lily collected each Vitamin Star carefully, promising to find them good homes. But as she climbed out of the pool, she noticed something surprising—her orange glow was fading!

"The magic weakens when kept," Sunny explained sadly. "Vitamin Stars need to be shared to stay bright."

Lily understood immediately. She ran to her grandmother, who had been feeling tired lately. "Energy, help Grandma!" The little orange star zipped forward, and suddenly her grandmother stood up straighter, smiling brightly.

Next, Lily found a lonely boy next door. "Happy, go make him smile!" The Vitamin Star danced around him until he laughed for the first time in weeks.

One by one, Lily gave all her Vitamin Stars to someone who needed their special magic. And every time she did, her own orange glow grew brighter and warmer.

"Now I understand," Lily told Sunny that night. "The real magic isn't keeping wonderful things—it's sharing them!"

The pool sparkled in agreement, its orange light dancing like a thousand tiny stars. And every summer after that, Lily returned for swimming lessons in generosity, always finding more Vitamin Stars to share with the world.
