The Orange Moon Magic

The sky turned ORANGE as the sun dipped behind the old oak tree. Maya gripped her BASEBALL bat tightly. Tonight was special - her grandmother said strange things happened during the orange sunset.

She hurried to the park, her feet RUNNING fast on the crunchy autumn leaves. Suddenly, her PADEL racket began to glow!

"Whoa!" Maya gasped.

A small figure shuffled from behind the swings. It looked like a ZOMBIE, but not scary at all - more like a stuffed toy come to life, with bright purple buttons for eyes and a crooked smile stitched from golden thread.

"I'm Zimble!" the little zombie cheered. "Want to play Moon Ball?"

Maya's eyes widened. "What's Moon Ball?"

"Only the BEST game ever!" Zimble bounced excitedly. His mismatched shoes made funny tap-dancing sounds. "When the orange moon rises, ordinary balls turn magical!"

Maya's baseball floated into the air, shimmering like a tiny star. Her padel racket sparkled too.

"Hit it!" Zimble called.

Maya swung - and WHOOSH! The baseball shot into the sky, trailing rainbows that painted the orange clouds. Zimble chased it, running sideways and making silly monster noises, "Grrr-woof-heehee!"

They played until the orange faded to deep blue. Zimble's magic grew stronger - flowers bloomed where he danced, and fireflies spelled out MAYA & ZIMBLE in the air.

"Tomorrow?" Zimble asked as the moon sank low.

"Every orange sunset!" Maya promised.

Zimble hugged her with soft, fuzzy arms. "Friends who play under magic moons never forget each other."

Maya ran home, her heart full of stardust. Some people might think zombies are scary, but Maya knew better. The best friends come when you least expect them - even during orange sunset magic.

She placed her baseball and padel by her window, just in case Zimble came back for another game of Moon Ball.
