The Orange Magic Adventure
Lily loved Saturdays. Saturdays meant sunshine, playing outside, and her absolute favorite thing—Grandma's fresh-squeezed orange juice for breakfast!
This Saturday started just like any other. Lily was running through the backyard, her bare feet tickling the grass, when she spotted something strange under the old oak tree. It was a dusty toy zombie, missing one button eye, with bright green hair sticking up every which way.
"Hello there, little friend," Lily whispered, picking it up gently. She cleaned off the zombie with her shirt sleeve and named him Zippy.
That afternoon, something magical happened. As Lily was peeling her orange for a snack, a drop of juice landed on Zippy. Suddenly, Zippy's one good eye twinkled!
"Friends?" Zippy asked in a tiny, squeaky voice.
Lily jumped but didn't let go. "Friends!" she smiled.
Zippy explained he had been lost for a very long time. The orange magic had woken him up! Together, they went running through the garden, having the most wonderful adventures. They had tea parties with flower cups, raced bumblebees, and told stories to the squirrels.
"I was lonely," Zippy admitted, "but now I have you."
"Everyone needs a friend," Lily said, hugging him tight. "Even toy zombies."
Grandma called them in for more orange juice, and Zippy got his own tiny cup. From that day on, Zippy was never lonely again. He had Lily, and Lily had discovered something wonderful: sometimes the best friends come from the most unexpected places, especially when magic orange juice is involved!
And every Saturday, they went on new adventures, running hand in plastic hand, ready for whatever magic the day might bring.
