The Orange Lightning Zombie

During the biggest lightning storm of the summer, young Mia discovered something magical in her grandmother's attic. An old orange cable, thicker than a rope, glowed whenever lightning flashed outside.

Curious, Mia plugged the cable into an ancient television set. Suddenly, the screen flickered and out tumbled a tiny creature - greenish and wobbly, like a miniature zombie! But this zombie wasn't scary at all. He had kind purple eyes and wore a little hat made of orange peel.

"I'm Zimble," the creature squeaked. "I've been trapped in that television for fifty years!"

Mia's eyes widened. "Are you... a zombie?"

Zimble shook his head. "I'm a Zoom-zombie! We're magical creatures from the Land of Orange Lightning. We bring wonder to children who believe in magic. But I need help. The Great Vitamin Cloud has disappeared, and without it, all the Zoom-zombies are losing their magic."

Mia grabbed her flashlight. "I'll help you find it!"

Together, they climbed to the roof during the storm. Lightning bolts painted the sky in brilliant purples and golds. Following Zimble's directions, Mia spotted a dark cloud hovering over the old oak tree.

"There it is!" Zimble pointed. "The Vitamin Cloud! It's trapped by the Shadow Mouse!"

A tiny mouse with glowing eyes was holding the cloud hostage, demanding all the town's oranges in exchange.

Mia had an idea. She climbed down to the kitchen and returned with her grandmother's secret ingredient - a bottle of liquid sunshine vitamin drops that Grandma called "magic in a bottle."

"Shadow Mouse!" Mia called. "You don't need to steal oranges. Look what I have!"

The mouse's eyes widened at the glowing yellow drops. "Magic vitamins?"

"These give you ALL the energy you need," Mia explained. "No more stealing!"

The mouse released the Vitamin Cloud, which immediately swirled around Zimble. He glowed bright orange with energy.

"Thank you, Mia!" Zimble cheered. "You saved all the Zoom-zombies!"

As dawn broke, Zimble handed Mia a small orange crystal. "Whenever you need magic, just hold this and think of our friendship."

Mia watched her new friend disappear back into the television, ready to bring magic to other children. She clutched the crystal, knowing that the best magic of all was kindness.
