The Orange Lightning Game

Mia, Leo, and Sam loved their Friday afternoon padel games at the community center. The three best friends would rally the ball back and forth, laughing as they tried to hit it past each other's paddles.

One stormy afternoon, dark clouds gathered overhead. Just as Leo served the ball, a brilliant bolt of lightning struck the nearby swimming pool with a loud CRACK!

"Did you see that?" Mia gasped, pointing toward the pool area.

The three friends ran through the rain and stopped in their tracks. The pool water wasn't blue anymore. It had turned a glowing orange, shimmering like liquid sunshine.

"Is it... safe?" Sam wondered, reaching out with one finger.

When his toe touched the orange water, ripples of golden light spread outward. Suddenly, images appeared in the water—memories of all their fun times together: birthday parties, first days of school, and every Friday padel game.

"It's showing us our friendship!" Leo whispered in wonder.

More orange lightning flashed across the sky, and the pool revealed something magical: every time the three friends played together, laughed together, or helped each other, they created invisible ripples of kindness that spread through their whole neighborhood.

"We never knew," Mia said, her eyes wide. "Just being together makes the world brighter."

The orange glow faded as the storm passed, but the lesson remained. Some friends are like that special lightning—rare and magical, making ordinary moments extraordinary.

"Same time next Friday?" Sam asked, holding up his padel.

"Always," Mia and Leo answered together.

And every Friday after that, when they played padel, they remembered the orange lightning pool and the invisible magic of friendship that glowed between them, brighter than any storm.
