The Orange Lightning Bear
Penny had the most magnificent orange hair anyone had ever seen. It wasn't just orange—it was like a sunset captured in strands that glowed when she was happy. And Penny was almost always happy, especially when exploring the magical forest behind her house.
One stormy afternoon, Penny spotted a bear cub shivering near an old oak tree. But this wasn't an ordinary bear. Its fur shimmered with tiny sparks, like it carried pieces of lightning trapped inside.
"Are you lost?" Penny asked, kneeling beside the creature.
The bear nodded, then pointed to a dark, twisted path leading deeper into the woods. Suddenly, Penny heard a groan from behind the trees. A zombie stepped out—but not a scary one. This zombie had bright blue flowers growing from its pockets and wore a friendly smile. It was the forest's zombie gardener, magical and misunderstood.
"My friend Lightning Bear needs help," the zombie said softly. "He lost his way during last night's storm."
Penny's orange hair glowed brighter as she had an idea. "I can help! My hair lights up in the dark."
Holding hands with the zombie gardener, Penny led the way. Her hair illuminated the path like a warm orange lantern. The bear cub followed close behind, its sparkling fur lighting up even more.
Together they discovered Lightning Bear's family—bears whose fur carried the magic of storms, helping the forest grow by bringing rain and gentle light. The zombie gardener tended to the special plants that only grew where lightning struck the ground.
"We're all helpers," Penny realized. "The bears bring rain, the zombie tends the garden, and my hair shows the way."
From that day on, Penny visited her magical friends often. She learned that everyone—even those who seem different—has something special to offer. And every stormy night, if you looked carefully, you might see a girl with glowing orange hair walking beside a lightning bear and a flower-filled zombie, all working together to keep their forest beautiful and bright.
