The Orange-Haired Water Friend
Lily loved the water. Every summer day, she ran to the blue lake behind her house, her red hair flying like fire in the wind. She was swimming when something magical happened.
On a sunny afternoon, Lily dove into the cool, clear water. Bubbles rose around her like tiny diamonds. Suddenly, she saw something extraordinary – a creature with bright orange hair that flowed like seaweed!
The creature smiled, and its orange hair glowed softly underwater. "Hello!" it said. "I'm Finn, the water sprite!"
Lily's eyes grew wide. She had never seen anything so wonderful. Finn's orange hair shimmered like sunset over the ocean.
"Will you be my friend?" Finn asked. "I've been waiting for someone who loves the water as much as I do."
"Yes!" Lily cheered. From that day on, they met every afternoon. Lily went swimming with Finn, and they played games among the lily pads. Finn taught her to speak with fish and dance with the ripples.
One day, Finn showed Lily his secret garden – orange flowers that bloomed only underwater, their petals glowing like little suns.
"Why is your hair orange?" Lily asked.
Finn smiled. "Because orange is the color of friendship and warmth. Even in cold water, friendship keeps us warm."
As summer ended, Lily had to go back to school. "I'll miss you," she said sadly.
"I'll always be here," Finn promised. "Just close your eyes and think of water. I'll hear you."
Every day after school, Lily ran to the lake. And every time, her orange-haired friend was waiting, ready for another adventure in their magical water world.
Lily learned that the best friendships are like water – they flow naturally, refresh your spirit, and never run dry.
