The Orange-Haired Guardian
Leo had the wildest, curliest, brightest orange hair anyone had ever seen. It bounced when he walked and POOFED when he ran. Other kids had brown hair, black hair, even yellow hair. But orange? Only Leo.
'I wish I had normal hair,' Leo sighed, pulling his hood up tight.
One day, while exploring behind Old Man Jenkins' barn, Leo spotted something strange. A tiny pyramid sat in the tall grass, no bigger than a shoebox. It glowed with golden light and hummed a soft, sleepy tune.
Leo reached out. WHOOSH! The pyramid popped open like a treasure chest!
Inside sat a miniature princess with wings. 'You found it!' she cheered. 'The Pyramid of Self!
'What's that?' Leo asked.
'It shows you your TRUE self!' The princess fluttered up. 'Touch your hair to the pyramid and see!'
Leo's orange curls POOFED as he leaned forward. When his hair touched the golden pyramid, BING! The tiny pyramid grew bigger and bigger until Leo could walk inside.
Golden walls sparkled around him. On every wall were paintings - of children with purple hair, green hair, rainbow hair! Each child was using their special hair to do amazing things. One girl's braids could reach the clouds! A boy's spiky blue hair could light up dark caves!
'Wow!' Leo whispered.
The tiny princess appeared beside him. 'Your orange hair isn't just hair, Leo. It's MAGIC!'
She led him to a mirror. When Leo looked, his orange hair was glowing like sunshine. Golden sparkles danced through every curl. The princess showed him how his hair could make flowers bloom and sad friends smile just by POOFING near them.
'You're not strange,' she said softly. 'You're special. And the Pyramid of Self chose YOU to be its guardian!'
Leo's heart filled up like a balloon. His orange hair wasn't weird - it was WONDERFUL!
'Will you help other kids see their magic too?' the princess asked.
Leo nodded, his curls bouncing with joy. 'Yes!'
The pyramid shrank back to shoebox size, and Leo tucked it into his pocket. He walked home with his hood DOWN, letting his orange hair POOF and shine in the sunlight.
From that day on, whenever someone felt different or strange, Leo would show them the pyramid's magic. And every single person learned that being different is actually the most magical thing of all.
The end.
