The Orange-Haired Bull's Secret

Leo hated his hair. It was bright orange, like a sunset caught in curls, and it stuck out in every direction. Kids at school called him Carrot Top and ran away laughing.

One afternoon, Leo sat crying beneath his family's old orange tree, hidden in the grove behind their house. Something wet nudged his hand.

Leo gasped. A tiny bull no bigger than a kitten stood there! But this was no ordinary bull—its fur shimmered with the same orange glow as Leo's hair, and its eyes held ancient wisdom.

"I'm Pip," the bull said in a voice like rustling leaves. "And I've been waiting for someone whose hair matches my magic."

Pip explained he was the last of the Sun Bulls, magical creatures who brought joy wherever they went. But he was lonely and needed a friend with orange hair to share his powers.

"You mean... my hair isn't ugly?" Leo asked, wiping his eyes.

"Beautiful!" Pip nudged Leo's hand again. "Together, we can spread happiness. Want to try?"

Leo nodded. Pip leaped onto his shoulder, and suddenly Leo felt warm inside. They walked to the playground where kids usually ignored him.

But something magical happened. Wherever Leo walked, flowers bloomed. Sad kids started smiling. Even the mean ones stopped running away and gathered around, curious.

"How did you do that?" a girl asked, touching Leo's orange curls.

"My friend Pip helped me," Leo said proudly. The tiny bull dipped his head, and everyone laughed—not at Leo, but with pure joy.

That day, Leo learned that the very thing that made him different was what made him special. Sometimes the best friends come in the smallest packages, and the things we think are weird about ourselves can be our greatest gifts.
