The Orange Cat's Secret Pyramid

Barnaby was a small brown bear who lived at the edge of the Whispering Woods. Every morning, he watched the other bears play together, but they never invited him to join. Barnaby was very lonely.

One sunny afternoon, something magical happened. An orange cat with emerald-green eyes appeared on the old oak stump near Barnaby's cave. The cat wasn't ordinary—its fur glowed like sunset!

"Hello there, little friend," said the orange cat. "My name is Mango."

Barnaby had never had a friend before! His heart fluttered like butterfly wings. "I'm Barnaby. Would you like to play?"

Mango's tail swished excitedly. "I know something wonderful! Follow me!"

The orange cat led Barnaby deeper into the forest than he had ever dared to go. They climbed over mossy rocks, crossed a sparkling stream, and pushed through curtains of willow branches. Suddenly, they stopped.

Before them stood something amazing—a perfect golden pyramid hidden in a secret clearing! Sunlight made it sparkle like diamonds.

"This is the Friendship Pyramid," Mango explained. "Legend says that when lonely hearts find it, they discover true friends."

Inside the pyramid were beautiful drawings of animals playing together. Bears and cats, rabbits and foxes, all having fun. At the center sat a crystal that glowed warm and bright.

"The crystal shows us something important," Mango whispered.

Barnaby looked into the crystal. He saw something that made his eyes grow wide—the other bears weren't mean! They were just shy, waiting for someone to say hello first. Barnaby had been too afraid to ask, and so were they!

That afternoon, Barnaby marched back to the meadow with Mango by his side. "Hello!" he called to the other bears. "Would you like to play with me and my friend?"

The bears' faces lit up. They had been hoping Barnaby would ask!

Barnaby learned that day that friendship is like a pyramid—it builds strongest when you take the first step. And sometimes, the most wonderful friends come in surprising packages—even orange cats who lead you to magical places in the woods.

From then on, Barnaby was never lonely again. He had his bear friends, his magical cat friend, and a secret pyramid that reminded him: the best adventures begin with a simple hello.
