The Orange Cat's Magic Touch

Luna's hair was always tangling into knots, no matter how much she brushed. Every morning before school, her mom would sigh and work through the stubborn tangles with a gentle comb.

"Why can't my hair be smooth like other kids'?" Luna wondered aloud one rainy Tuesday morning.

That's when Clementine, her bright orange cat, padded into the room and rubbed against Luna's leg. Clementine wasn't just any cat — she had the softest, fluffiest fur that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight.

Luna giggled as Clementine jumped onto her lap and started purring loudly. The orange cat's fur felt like sunshine against her skin, warm and comforting.

"You know," said her grandmother, who was visiting from her cottage by the sea, "cats have a special kind of magic. When they rub against you, they're sharing their courage vitamin."

"Cats have vitamins?" Luna asked, her eyes widening.

"Oh yes," grandmother winked. "Clementine is giving you her special orange vitamin — the vitamin of bravery. That's why she chose you."

Luna looked at Clementine with new eyes. All this time, she thought her cat was just being affectionate. But maybe Clementine was actually giving her something magical.

That day at school, when Luna had to give a presentation in front of the whole class, she remembered the orange cat's morning visit. She imagined Clementine's warm purr filling her with courage. And when she stood up to speak, her voice didn't shake at all.

That evening, Luna brushed Clementine's fluffy orange fur carefully. "Thank you for the bravery vitamins," she whispered.

Clementine purred and nudged Luna's hand. Luna smiled, realizing that sometimes the best magic comes from the friends we already have — especially the ones with soft orange fur and plenty of love to share.
