The Orange Cat's Magic Spell
Lily loved her fluffy orange cat named Mango more than anything in the world. Every afternoon after school, they would play in the garden, chasing butterflies and napping in the warm sunshine.
One day, Mango discovered something strange behind the old oak tree—a mysterious wooden box covered in glittery symbols. Inside was a dusty book with a rainbow-colored spine.
"What's this?" Lily whispered, opening the book. A page floated out, covered in sparkly writing. It was a recipe for a friendship spell!
The ingredients were simple: one bright orange flower, a happy thought, and something very special—a true friend who would stay by your side forever.
Lily rushed to gather the orange marigold from Mama's garden. She closed her eyes and thought her happiest thought: the day she found Mango as a tiny kitten, shivering in the rain. She held the cat close and read the magic words aloud.
Suddenly, the garden filled with golden sparkles! But something silly happened—Mango started walking stiffly, with her paws straight out like a toy robot.
"Oh no!" Lily gasped. "The spell went wrong! Mango looks like a zombie cat!"
But Mango wasn't scary at all. She wobbled over to Lily and gave her a slow, gentle head bump, purring louder than ever. The zombie spell had made her move funny, but it also made her extra loving.
Lily couldn't stop giggling as her zombie cat marched around the garden, trying to chase a butterfly but moving in slow motion. The butterfly landed right on Mango's nose, and the two new friends stayed like that for the longest time.
That night, Lily learned something wonderful. Sometimes mistakes turn into the best adventures. And whether her cat walked normally or like a silly zombie, Mango would always be her best friend.
The magic wore off by morning, but Lily kept the orange flower pressed in her favorite book—a reminder that friendship is the most powerful magic of all.
