The Orange Cat's Brave Heart
In the middle of Mr. Willow's enchanted orchard, a tiny orange cat named Pip lived in the hollow of an ancient oak tree. Pip was smaller than any other cat, but he had the fluffiest fur and the biggest dreams.
One sunny morning, Pip discovered something glowing beneath the orange tree. It was a magical orange, shimmering with golden light! As soon as he touched it, the orange spoke in a whispery voice. "Little friend, I grant one wish to those with pure hearts."
Pip's eyes grew wide. He wished for courage, because he was afraid of everything - storms, dark shadows, even his own shadow sometimes!
Suddenly, a great storm gathered over the orchard. The magical trees began to tremble. That's when Pip saw Barnaby, the orchard's bull, struggling to push a fallen cart away from the youngest orange sapling. Barnaby was strong and gentle, but even he couldn't move it alone.
Pip's heart raced. He was just a tiny cat! What could he do? But then he remembered his wish. Courage doesn't mean you're not afraid, his mother had once told him. Courage means you do what's right even when you ARE afraid.
With newfound bravery, Pip scrambled up the tree and used his sharp claws to cut the ropes tangled around the sapling's branches. Barnaby saw what the tiny cat was doing and pushed with all his mighty strength. Together - the small orange cat and the great bull - they freed the little tree just as the storm broke.
Afterward, Barnaby nuzzled Pip gently. "You may be small, little one, but you have the heart of a bull."
Pip purred proudly. He learned that day that courage comes in all sizes, and sometimes the smallest heroes make the biggest difference.
