The Orange Cat and the Not-So-Spicy Zombie
Mango was not your ordinary cat. His fur was the color of a ripe orange, and his emerald eyes could see things no other animal could. One moonlit night, Mango was running through the enchanted garden behind his house when he heard a strange sound.
*"Grooooaan..."*
Mango's orange ears twitched. He peeked around a giant fern and gasped. A lumpy, greenish figure was shuffling near the papaya tree. It looked like a zombie! Mango's fur puffed up like a dandelion.
But then the zombie spoke. *"Oh, drat. My papaya fell again."*
The zombie bent down and picked up a bruised papaya with surprising gentleness. Mango stepped out from the ferns.
*"You're not scary,"* Mango meowed. *"Why do you look like a zombie?"*
The creature's face turned a lovely shade of lavender. *"I'm Zed! A magical gardening spell went wrong. Now I look spooky, but I just love growing fruit."*
Mango's tail curled with delight. Zed wasn't a monster — he was a gardener!
*"I can help!"* Mango offered. *"I'm great at climbing. I'll reach the papayas at the top!"*
All night, Mango and Zed worked together. The orange cat ran up the tree like a streak of sunlight, gently nudging ripe papayas into Zed's waiting arms. By dawn, they had harvested a whole basket.
*"Thank you, Mango!"* Zed said, handing the cat the perfect papaya. *"You're the best friend a zombie gardener could ask for."*
Mango purred. Sometimes the scariest-looking creatures make the kindest friends. And from that night on, the orange cat and the zombie gardener tended the magical garden together — running, playing, and sharing papayas under the stars.
