The Orange Cable Adventure

Lily was digging in her backyard when she found something strange. It wasn't a rock. It wasn't a worm. It was the end of a bright orange cable, glowing like it had swallowed sunshine.

"What are you?" she whispered, pulling gently. The cable wiggled back! It wanted her to follow.

Lily's best friend Sam was climbing over the fence just then. "What's that?"

"I don't know," Lily said, her eyes wide. "But it's moving!"

Together, they followed the orange cable as it snaked through gardens, wiggled under fences, and curled around trees. It pulsed with warm light, leading them somewhere mysterious. The cable stopped at the old oak tree in the park, where it disappeared into a hole beneath the roots.

Lily and Sam squeezed through. Down they slid, whooshing through darkness until—

THUMP!

They landed in a room filled with sparkles. In the center stood a crystal pyramid, humming with music like wind chimes. Inside the pyramid swirled colors—gold, ruby, emerald—dancing like captured rainbows.

"It's beautiful," Sam breathed.

The orange cable plugged right into the pyramid's side, feeding it light. But the pyramid's glow was flickering, growing dim.

"It needs help," Lily realized. "The cable's not enough."

She thought of her grandmother's words: *Magic grows when shared.*

"Sam, hold my hand!"

They placed their hands on the pyramid together. Immediately, brilliant light burst through it! The pyramid sang louder, colors swirling brighter than ever. The orange cable glowed so brightly it illuminated everything.

They had discovered something special together. And that night, they promised: no matter what adventures came, they would always face them as friends.

The orange cable had shown them the way, but friendship was the real magic all along.
