The Orange Bull's Secret

Lily loved exploring behind her grandmother's cottage. Every morning, she would slip outside to discover something new. Today, she followed the sound of rushing water downstream from the little pond.

The water tumbled over smooth stones, creating tiny rainbows in the mist. Lily skipped along the bank, her bare feet splashing in the cool shallows. Suddenly, she stopped. Behind a weeping willow tree stood the most magnificent creature she had ever seen.

It was a bull, but not like the ones in farmer McGregor's field. This bull was the color of a ripe orange, his coat gleaming like sunshine. His horns were made of twisted coral, and his eyes sparkled like the ocean. When he saw Lily, he didn't run away. Instead, he dipped his head peacefully.

"Hello," Lily whispered, reaching out her hand.

The orange bull nudged her palm gently. He seemed friendly, not scary at all. He turned and began walking slowly, looking back as if inviting her to follow.

Lily's heart raced with excitement. She had never seen such a magical creature! Together they walked along the stream, the bull's orange coat glowing brighter as they moved deeper into the woods. Birds sang unusual melodies, and flowers seemed to turn toward them as they passed.

Suddenly, the bull stopped before a hidden pool Lily had never noticed. The water here was still and crystal clear. The bull stepped into it, and as the water touched his orange coat, ripples of gold spread outward.

Then Lily saw something amazing. In the reflection, the bull appeared as a different creature—a handsome prince trapped by magic!

"Thank you for following me," the prince's voice echoed from the water. "For one hundred years, I've waited for someone kind enough to befriend a bull. Your heart has broken the spell."

The water swirled around the bull, and when it cleared, a young man stood there wearing an orange cloak. He smiled gratefully at Lily.

"I learned something important while I was a bull," he told her. "Sometimes the most unusual friends bring the greatest adventures. Never judge someone by how they look."

Lily nodded, understanding completely. She had found a friend in the most unexpected way—and that was the greatest adventure of all.
