The Orange Bull's Secret

Lily loved running through the meadow behind her house, especially on warm Saturday mornings. Her golden dog, Barnaby, would gallop beside her, his long ears flopping in the wind like happy flags.

One day, something magical happened. Lily and Barnaby discovered an old wooden gate they'd never noticed before, hidden behind blackberry bushes. Beyond it stood a massive bull—but not a scary one. This bull was the color of a ripe orange, with gentle eyes that twinkled like stars.

"Hello there," the orange bull said, his voice as warm as sunshine on toast.

Lily gasped. "You can talk!"

"Of course I can," the bull replied. "I'm Oliver, and I've been waiting for a friend like you. Would you like to see something wonderful?"

Barnaby wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled. Oliver lowered his giant orange head, and Lily climbed onto his back. Barnaby ran alongside them as Oliver carried them through swirling clouds of purple and gold, over mountains made of candy, and across rivers that flowed with sparkling lemonade.

They arrived at the Great Garden of Dreams, where every flower held a wish. Oliver explained that he was the Keeper of Dreams, and he needed someone brave and kind to help him plant new dream-seeds for children who had forgotten how to imagine.

"Running away from problems is easy," Oliver said wisely. "But staying to face them with courage—that's what makes dreams grow."

Lily planted three seeds: one for bravery, one for kindness, and one for friendship. Wherever they bloomed, children would remember how to dream big.

When Oliver brought them home, he gave Lily something special—a small orange pouch filled with magic dust. "Sprinkle this whenever you or a friend need courage," he whispered. "The magic was inside you all along."

That night, Lily tucked Barnaby into bed and realized something wonderful: the best adventures aren't the ones that take you far away, but the ones that show you how brave and kind you can be. And sometimes, the most perfect friend comes in the most unexpected color—like a bull who's orange, and full of magic.
