The Orange Bull's Magic Game

Lily loved walking by the stream behind her house. The water sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight, and she always found something wonderful there. But today, she found something extraordinary.

An orange bull stood near the edge of the water, his fur glowing like sunset. Lily had never seen a bull like him before. Most bulls were brown or black, but this one was as orange as a ripe pumpkin!

"Hello," Lily whispered, approaching slowly. The bull turned his massive head and looked at her with the kindest brown eyes she'd ever seen.

"I've been waiting for you," said the bull, whose name was Barnaby. "I need a friend to help me with something important."

Lily's heart beat fast. "What do you need help with?"

Barnaby reached behind his ear and pulled out something unexpected—a baseball! "I love baseball, but I can't play alone. Will you play with me?"

Lily gasped. "You know baseball?"

"Of course!" Barnaby smiled. "My grandfather taught me. He said baseball is about more than winning—it's about friendship and fun."

They played the most magical game of baseball ever. Whenever Barnaby hit the ball, it would change colors—first blue, then pink, then silver! When Lily caught it, it would make the sound of tiny bells ringing.

"How is this possible?" Lily laughed, chasing the glowing ball.

"Magic happens when you're with a true friend," Barnaby said wisely. "The fun isn't in the game itself, but in who you play it with."

They played until the sun began to set. The water in the stream reflected orange and pink light, making everything look enchanted.

"Will I see you again?" Lily asked as Barnaby prepared to leave.

"Every day at sunset," he promised. "But remember, Lily—the magic wasn't in me or the ball. It was in us playing together."

Lily waved goodbye and ran home, her heart full of wonder. She learned something wonderful that day: the best adventures aren't just about what you do, but who you do them with. And sometimes, the most unexpected friends can teach you the most important lessons.

From then on, Lily looked forward to every sunset, when she'd meet her orange friend by the water for another magical game of baseball.
