The Orange Bull's Gift
Lily had the most extraordinary hair in all of Willowbrook Village. It bounced like springs and curled like cinnamon swirls, always tangling in the breeze. But Lily didn't mind. She loved her wild hair almost as much as she loved exploring.
One sunny afternoon, Lily followed a butterfly deep into the Whispering Woods until she discovered something magical—a creature unlike anything she'd ever seen. It was a bull, but not like the ones on Farmer McGregor's farm. This bull was the color of a ripe orange, with fur that shimmered like sunset clouds.
The orange bull lowered its massive head gently. Lily reached out and touched its velvet nose.
"I've been waiting for you, Lily," the bull spoke in a voice like warm honey. "My name is Clementine."
Lily gasped. "You can talk?"
"Magical creatures can do many things," Clementine said. "I need your help. A grumpy wizard has stolen my golden horns, and without them, I can't protect the forest's dreams."
Lily's eyes widened. "I'll help you! But what can I do?"
Clementine smiled, and Lily noticed a single orange hair from the bull's coat had stuck to her sleeve. It glowed softly. "Your hair is special, Lily. It catches magic like a net. If you're brave enough to face the wizard, your wild curls will help us."
Together they journeyed to the wizard's tower. When the grumpy wizard appeared, Lily's hair began to sparkle and stretch, tangling around his stolen treasures—including Clementine's golden horns!
"Hey!" the wizard cried. "Give those back!"
Lily's hair pulled the horns free. She grabbed them and hopped onto Clementine's back. They raced home under starlight, the orange bull's fur glowing like a lantern.
"Thank you, Lily," Clementine said, nuzzling her cheek. "You were brave and kind. The forest will remember."
That night, Lily's mother brushed her wild curls and found something woven into them—a single orange hair that glowed like a tiny star. Lily smiled, knowing friendship and courage were the strongest magic of all.
