The Orange Baseball's Magic Wish

Benny was just an ordinary baseball, sitting in the dusty corner of Mr. Henderson's garage. But Benny had a secret wish — he wanted to be orange like the sunset he could see through the garage window.

Every evening, Benny watched the sky turn brilliant shades of tangerine and gold. "If I could only be that beautiful," he sighed, rolling against the old wooden workbench.

One Saturday, a new boy named Leo moved in next door. Leo loved baseball but didn't have anyone to play with. When he found Benny in the garage, his eyes lit up. "Hey there, little friend!"

Benny had never been called a friend before. His heart swelled with happiness.

Leo took Benny outside every day. They played catch until Leo's arms grew tired. But Benny noticed something — Leo always played alone. None of the other kids wanted to join him.

That's when Benny discovered his magic. Whenever Leo felt lonely, Benny would glow with a soft orange light, like a tiny sunset in Leo's hands. The warm light attracted other children, curious about the magical baseball.

Soon, the whole neighborhood gathered around Leo and his glowing friend. They played baseball until the real sunset appeared, and Benny finally understood something wonderful — he didn't need to be orange to be special. His real magic wasn't his color at all. It was bringing friends together.

That night, Benny glowed brighter than ever, not from magic, but from happiness. He had found something better than his wish. He had found friendship, and that was the most beautiful color of all.
