The Ocean's Secret Message

Lily sat on the smooth rocks by the sea, her iphone clutched tightly in her hand. Her mom had said she could take pictures of the waves, but only if she promised not to get it wet. The ocean sparkled like thousands of tiny diamonds under the golden sun.

"I wish I could see what's under there," Lily whispered, leaning closer to the water. A small crab scuttled near her toes, waving its claw like it was saying hello.

Suddenly, something magical happened. When the crab touched a drop of water that had splashed onto her phone, the screen began to glow with a soft blue light. Strange symbols appeared, dancing like fireflies. Lily gasped—but then she realized they weren't strange at all. They were messages from the sea creatures!

"Hello, small friend!" read one bubble. "Would you like to spy on our hidden world?"

Lily's eyes went wide. She pressed the screen gently, and suddenly she could see everything—the colorful fish playing tag, the wise old turtle teaching babies to swim, even tiny crabs having parties in coral castles. It was the most wonderful thing she had ever seen.

"This is amazing!" Lily cried out. "But why are you showing me this?"

A seagull landed beside her and spoke in the phone's magical way: "Because every creature in the ocean needs a friend on land. Someone who will protect the water, keep it clean, and tell others how beautiful it is down here. Will you be that friend?"

Lily looked at her phone, then at the sparkling ocean. She nodded solemnly. "I promise. I'll tell everyone about the magical world beneath the waves. I'll pick up trash. I'll be the ocean's friend forever."

The screen glowed one last time, then returned to normal. But Lily knew the magic was still there, in every wave, every splash, every drop of water. And from that day on, whenever she visited the beach, the sea creatures would send her little messages through the ripples and bubbles, reminding her that friendship is the most powerful magic of all.
