The Ocean's Magical Cable

Cora was a curious little mermaid who loved exploring the coral reefs near her home. Every day, she went swimming past colorful fish and friendly turtles, always looking for something new.

One morning, while swimming deeper than usual, Cora spotted something strange. A long, shiny cable stretched from the ocean floor all the way up toward the surface. It pulsed with a soft, blue light that made the water around it sparkle like tiny stars.

"What is this?" Cora wondered, tracing her finger along the cable's smooth surface. It felt warm, like it was alive!

Suddenly, the cable tugged gently, as if inviting her to follow. Cora's heart raced with excitement. She swam upward, following the glowing cable through waters she had never seen before. Schools of silver fish darted around her, and jellyfish floated by like floating lanterns.

When Cora reached the surface, she couldn't believe her eyes. On a nearby beach, children were playing padel, hitting a ball back and forth with big smiles on their faces. The cable led right to their court!

"Hello!" called a girl named Mia, pausing her game. "Want to play?"

Cora had never played padel before, but Mia taught her how to hold the paddle and hit the ball. The children didn't mind that Cora was a mermaid—they just wanted a new friend.

"Your cable brought us together," Cora realized. "It's magical!"

Every day after that, Cora followed the glowing cable to the beach. She learned that the cable wasn't just a wire—it was a friendship bridge connecting two different worlds. And the best part? Cora taught her new friends to swim in the ocean, while they taught her padel on the beach.

Cora learned that the best discoveries aren't things—they're friends. And sometimes, all you need to find them is the courage to follow where your curiosity leads.
