The Ocean's Baseball Game
Leo loved **baseball** more than anything. Every day after school, he could be found **running** around the dusty diamond, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run. But today was different—the hottest day of summer, and all his friends were at the beach instead of playing ball.
Feeling lonely, Leo walked toward the ocean with his favorite baseball glove under his arm. The sparkling **water** looked so inviting that he decided to wade in, just to cool his feet.
That's when he saw something amazing.
A group of dolphins was splashing near the shore, playing catch—not with fish, but with a shiny white baseball! They weren't throwing it, though. They were batting it with their noses, leaping into the air and making spectacular catches.
Leo laughed as one dolphin, whom he named Splash because of the way she played, swam right up to him. She nudged the baseball toward his feet with her nose, as if inviting him to play.
"You want to play baseball?" Leo asked, giggling.
Splash chirped happily and splashed **water** at him playfully.
Leo hesitated. He didn't have his swimsuit. But the dolphin looked so friendly, and the ocean looked so refreshing. So Leo did something brave—he dove right into the waves in his clothes!
The cool **water felt amazing**. Leo found himself **swimming** alongside the dolphins, who were surprisingly gentle. They taught him a whole new way to play baseball—underwater! Leo discovered that **swimming** made him feel light as a feather, and he could jump higher than ever before.
For hours, Leo played with his new friends, **running** through the waves and diving for spectacular catches. The dolphins cheered with happy clicks and whistles whenever Leo made a good play.
As the sun began to set, Splash nudged Leo back toward shore. She gave him a friendly wave with her fin as if to say, "Come back anytime!"
Walking home in his wet clothes, Leo realized something wonderful: sometimes the best adventures happen when you try something new. He couldn't wait to tell his friends about his underwater baseball game—and he knew exactly where they'd all be playing tomorrow.
The diamond was fun, but the ocean was magical.
