The Not-So-Spooky Zombie Friend

Lily loved her old iPhone, even though it didn't make calls anymore. It was her treasure chest of games, stories, and magical adventures. One rainy afternoon, while playing her favorite game, something strange happened.

A little cartoon zombie popped right out of the screen! He was green and crumbly-looking, with button eyes and a friendly grin. "Boo?" he squeaked, but not in a scary way—more like a confused little bunny.

Lily giggled. "You're not scary at all!"

The zombie looked sad. "Everyone runs away from me. I just want someone to play with."

"I'll be your friend!" Lily said. "What's your name?"

"Zippy!" the zombie cheered. "Would you like to see my world?"

He reached out his crumbly hand, and suddenly Lily was inside the game! It was a magical land where candy grew on trees and rivers flowed with sparkling juice. But everything was gray and lonely.

"What happened to all the colors?" Lily asked.

Zippy sighed. "Everyone here is too scared to come out. They think zombies are mean, but we're actually quite friendly. We just want to share our candy!"

Lily had an idea. She used her imagination to paint rainbows across the sky, turning gray clouds pink and golden. Other curious zombies peeked out from behind candy bushes.

"See?" Zippy said. "Lily isn't scared!"

Soon, all the zombies came out to play. They had a dance party, shared chocolate mushrooms, and told silly jokes. Lily realized something important: things that seem scary at first might just be misunderstood friends waiting for someone to give them a chance.

When it was time to go home, Zippy gave Lily a glowing friendship bracelet made of candy. "Visit us anytime!"

Back in her room, Lily looked at her iPhone with new wonder. Sometimes the best adventures—and the best friends—come from the most unexpected places. And just because something looks different doesn't mean it isn't wonderful underneath.
