The Not-So-Scary Zombie Friend
In the town of Willowbrook, there lived a mysterious creature everyone called the zombie. But Zombie wasn't scary at all — he just had messy green hair, moved very slowly, and loved to garden. His favorite thing was planting sunflowers that smiled back at him.
One sunny morning, Zombie discovered something strange in his garden. A glowing rainbow cable stretched across the sky, shimmering like magic. Whiskers, a brave orange cat with one white paw, and Barnaby, a happy golden dog who wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled, came to investigate.
"Where does it go?" asked Whiskers, her amber eyes wide with wonder.
"Let's find out!" Zombie said, his voice as slow and warm as honey.
The three friends climbed onto the magical cable like it was a rainbow slide. WHOOSH! They zipped through clouds of cotton candy, past stars that twinkled like friendly fireflies, and over mountains made of marshmallows.
"I've never seen anything so beautiful!" barked Barnaby joyfully.
Finally, they reached the end of the cable — a secret garden where lonely toys waited to be loved. Zombie's heart squeezed. "These toys need friends, just like I did before I met you."
Whiskers rubbed against a forgotten teddy bear. Barnby cuddled a dusty doll. Zombie planted sunflowers around every single toy, making the garden bright and cheerful.
"You're not scary at all," the teddy bear told Zombie. "You're kind."
Zombie smiled his biggest, slowest smile. He learned something important that day: being different doesn't make you scary, and true friends see who you really are inside. And every night, the three friends — one zombie, one cat, and one dog — would slide down the rainbow cable together, bringing friendship and joy wherever they went.
