The Night of Running Stars
Emma couldn't sleep. The moon was shining through her window, making little pools of silver light on her bedroom floor. She tiptoed outside in her pajamas, following the moonbeams into the meadow behind her house.
That's when she saw them - not just ordinary animals, but glowing ones! A great brown bear with eyes like warm honey, and a powerful bull with horns that sparkled like diamonds.
They were the stars from her favorite constellations, come down to dance!
"My name is Bruno," the bear rumbled softly.
"And I'm Bella," said the bull with a gentle moo.
"Will you run with us?" they asked together.
Emma's heart leaped with joy. She began running across the dew-kissed grass, with Bruno and Bella galloping beside her. They raced through fields of fireflies that twinkled like tiny stars, and splashed through a creek where the water sang magical songs.
"You're so fast!" Emma laughed as Bella's powerful legs carried her effortlessly. Bruno bounded gracefully despite his size, his fur shimmering with starlight.
"Everyone has their own special speed," Bruno said wisely. "The magic isn't in how fast you go, but in enjoying the journey together."
They ran until the first hints of dawn painted the sky pink and gold. The animals paused at the forest's edge, their glow fading as dawn approached.
"Will you come back tomorrow?" Emma asked.
Bruno nodded slowly. "Every night, when the stars shine brightest. Look for us in the sky - the Big Bear and the Bull. We'll always be watching over our special friend."
As Emma snuggled back into bed, she spotted them through her window - two bright constellations twinkling in the fading night. She fell asleep with a smile, already dreaming of tomorrow's adventure.
