The Night Lightning Painted the Sky

Max loved playing baseball more than anything in the world. Every evening after school, he'd practice pitching against the old wooden fence in his backyard. One day, something magical happened during a storm.

Max was watching from his window when a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky — but this wasn't ordinary lightning. It was bright purple and swirled like paint! The lightning landed right in Max's backyard, and when he rushed outside, he discovered something amazing.

A large bull stood there, but not like any bull Max had ever seen. This bull was made entirely of swirling purple light, like a living cloud! The bull blinked its glowing eyes and spoke in a voice like distant thunder.

"I'm Lightning Bull," the creature rumbled gently. "I've been watching you practice baseball. You never give up, even when you miss. That's special."

Max couldn't believe it! A magical lightning bull had been his secret spy all along, watching from the clouds!

"Will you be my friend?" Max asked, his heart pounding with excitement.

Lightning Bull smiled, and tiny sparks danced around his nose. "I'd be honored. But first, would you teach me how to play baseball?"

Max giggled. "But you're a magical storm bull! Can you even hold a bat?"

"Watch this!" Lightning Bull transformed his hoof into a perfect baseball bat made of glowing light. Max pitched his baseball, and — CRACK! — Lightning Bull hit the ball so high it soared into the clouds and came back down as a shooting star!

They played until dawn, and Max learned something wonderful: sometimes the most unexpected friends are the best ones, and magic hides everywhere if you have the courage to look for it.

Now, whenever Max plays baseball, he glances at the clouds and waves. And if you ever see purple lightning during a storm, you might just catch a glimpse of Lightning Bull smiling back at his best friend.
