The Mummy's Magic Phone

Lily found the strange golden pyramid in her grandmother's attic. It was no bigger than her palm, covered in mysterious symbols. When she touched it, the pyramid glowed warm and friendly.

Her fluffy dog, Barnaby, wagged his tail and sniffed the curious object. Just then, the pyramid made a soft ding sound - exactly like an iPhone notification! Lily giggled. "This isn't ancient magic," she said. "It's something else."

A hologram appeared above the pyramid. It showed a funny little zombie named Zara, but she wasn't scary at all. She had bright green skin, wild purple hair in two bouncy pigtails, and the friendliest smile Lily had ever seen.

"Hello!" Zara waved. "I've been waiting 3,000 years for someone to find my friendship pyramid!"

Lily's eyes went wide. "You're a zombie? But you seem so... nice."

"The best kind of zombie!" Zara beamed. "Long ago, I was a lonely Egyptian princess who wanted friends from all over time. So I made this magical pyramid to connect with children across thousands of years."

Barnaby barked happily, jumping around Lily's feet.

"Oh! A dog!" Zara clapped her hands. "I always wanted a dog! In ancient Egypt, cats were popular, but I dreamed of having a furry friend like him."

Lily held up her phone. "Can I take a picture with you?"

"Better!" Zara said. "Hold your phone to the pyramid."

When Lily did, something amazing happened. Her iPhone screen filled with games and adventures that Zara had created - treasure hunts, riddle challenges, and stories from ancient times. They spent the afternoon playing together, Zara teaching Lily about hieroglyphs and pyramids, while Lily showed Zara modern games.

"You know," Lily said, stroking Barnaby's soft hair, "everyone thinks zombies are scary. But you're the best friend I've made all year."

Zara smiled. "And everyone thinks old things are boring. But you, Barnaby, and your magical phone showed me that the best friendships can happen across any time - if you just keep your heart open."

The pyramid glowed one last time. "I'll always be here when you want to play," Zara promised. "True friendship never really fades away."

That night, Lily dreamed of purple-haired zombies, golden pyramids, and the magic of friends found in the most unexpected places.
