The Moonlit Water Bull
Luna was a small golden dog with big, curious eyes. She lived near a sparkling stream but was too afraid to swim. Every evening, she watched the water rush by, wishing she was brave enough to jump in.
One full moon night, Luna heard splashing. She crept to the bank and gasped. The stream's water was rising, swirling, and shaping itself into a magnificent bull made entirely of flowing water! His mane was like a waterfall, his horns sparkled like diamonds, and his eyes glowed with moonlight magic.
"Don't be afraid, little one," the Water Bull said gently. His voice sounded like bubbling brooks and ocean waves combined. "I am the spirit of this stream. I've watched you wishing to be brave."
Luna's tail thumped nervously. "I want to play in the water, but I'm scared."
The Water Bull smiled. "Bravery isn't about not being afraid. It's about trying anyway. Come, run with me!"
The magical creature began running — not on land, but ACROSS the water's surface! His hooves made ripples of silver as he danced over the stream.
Luna took a deep breath and stepped forward. Her paws touched the cool water, and suddenly, she wasn't sinking. The Water Bull had made the water hold her up!
"That's it!" he cheered. "Feel the water beneath you. It wants to be your friend, not your fear."
Together they ran, Luna racing beside the magnificent water creature, splashing and playing under the moonlight. The bull taught her how water could be gentle or powerful, how it could quench thirst or carve canyons, how it could flow around obstacles instead of fighting them.
As dawn approached, the Water Bull began to fade. "Remember, Luna," he whispered, "like water, you are stronger than you know. You can flow around any obstacle."
Luna returned home, wet and exhausted but full of joy. From that night on, she was never afraid of water again. And sometimes, when the moon was full, she would return to the stream, running and splashing with her magical friend, the Water Bull who had taught her that true bravery is simply taking the first step.
The other animals wondered why Luna loved swimming so much. She just wagged her tail and smiled, knowing some secrets are too magical to explain — they can only be experienced.
