The Moonlight Pool Secret
Lily loved summer evenings. That's when the magic happened in her backyard.
One night, her golden retriever Max started barking at something behind the old oak tree. Lily followed him and discovered something amazing—a glowing pool that wasn't there before. The water sparkled like stars trapped in liquid moonlight.
"Woof!" Max said, wagging his tail excitedly.
Lily knelt beside the pool. When she touched the water with one finger, ripples of rainbow colors spread across the surface. Then something wonderful happened. The pool showed her pictures!
First, she saw herself and Max playing fetch. Then she saw her neighbor Toby, the boy who never had anyone to play with. He looked lonely in the magical reflection.
The pool was teaching Lily something important. Being a true friend meant including everyone.
"Max!" Lily said. "We have to find Toby."
The dog understood immediately. Together they ran to Toby's house and invited him to see the magical pool. Toby's eyes grew huge when he saw the glowing water.
"Watch this," Lily said. She reached into the pool and pulled out something amazing—a perfect ball made of moonbeams! It bounced higher than any regular ball could.
All three of them played until the stars began to fade. As the first sunlight touched the yard, the magical pool disappeared.
But the real magic was already there—three new friends who would never be lonely again.
Lily learned that some treasures aren't meant to be kept. The best magic is the kind you share with others, especially those who need it most.
