The Moonlight Pool

Lily loved her purple hat more than anything in the world. It wasn't just any hat—Grandma had given it to her, saying it was filled with magic. Lily wore it everywhere, even when she swam in the neighborhood pool.

One summer evening, as Lily sat by the pool watching the moon reflect on the water, something extraordinary happened. Her hat began to glow! A soft purple light shimmered from its brim, and suddenly, the ordinary swimming pool transformed into a swirling pool of starlight.

"Come in!" a tiny voice squeaked.

Lily leaned closer and saw a small creature swimming in the magical pool—a glowing blue otter with sparkles for eyes!

"I'm Oliver the Otter," the creature said. "You've found the Moonlight Pool! It only appears for children with magic hats."

Lily's eyes widened. "Really? What do you do here?"

Oliver dove deep into the shimmering water and surfaced holding something remarkable—a glowing orange orb that pulsed with warmth.

"This is a sunshine vitamin," Oliver explained. "We collect them when sunlight touches the moonlight pool. Each one holds a special power. This one gives you courage when you're scared."

Lily gasped. "That's amazing!"

"But there's more!" Oliver swam around the pool, collecting different colored orbs. "The blue ones are calmness vitamins for when you feel worried. Green ones are for friendship. Pink ones are creativity!"

Lily's heart swelled with wonder. "Can I have one?"

Oliver smiled and placed three glowing vitamins into her hat. "They'll appear whenever you need them most. But remember—the magic works best when you share them with others who need them too."

The moonlight pool began to fade, returning to its ordinary blue. Oliver waved goodbye. "Come back whenever your hat glows!"

The next day at school, Lily saw a new girl sitting alone, looking scared. Her hat warmed, and a sunshine vitamin appeared in its brim. Lily knew just what to do.

"Hi, I'm Lily," she said, sitting beside the girl. "Want to be friends?"
