The Moon Cable and the Dreaming Bull
In a cozy corner of Emma's room, a little goldfish named Pearl swam in circles in her blue glass bowl. But Pearl wasn't an ordinary goldfish. She had shimmering scales that sparkled like tiny stars, and she could understand everything Emma said.
One night, when the moonlight spilled through Emma's window, Pearl noticed something magical. A glowing silver **cable** dangled from the moon, shimmering right down to her fishbowl. It pulsed with soft light, like a heartbeat made of moonbeams.
Pearl gathered her courage. With one splash, she leaped from her bowl and grabbed the moon cable with her fins. ZOOM! She slid up, up, up—higher than the trees, higher than the clouds, until she landed in the soft moonlight.
There, sleeping among the stars, was the biggest, gentlest bull she had ever seen. His fur was made of clouds, his horns were moonlight, and when he snored, little stars twinkled from his nose.
"Hello?" Pearl called.
The bull opened one sleepy eye. "I'm Barnaby, the Dreaming Bull. I deliver happy dreams to children. But oh, I'm so tired lately. My moonlight has grown dim."
Pearl noticed Barnaby's glowing coat was flickering like a dying candle.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"I need something special," Barnaby sighed. "A magical star **vitamin** that only grows in the deepest part of the Moon Lake. But my hooves are too heavy to swim."
Pearl's fins wiggled with excitement. "I'm a champion swimmer! I'll find it for you!"
She dove into the Moon Lake, her body glowing as she searched. At the very bottom, she found a shimmering crystal—the star vitamin, pulsing with rainbow light.
When she brought it back, Barnaby took it gently. CRUNCH! He ate it in one bite.
Suddenly—WHOOSH! His cloud-wool fluffed up bright silver, his horns gleamed, and his eyes sparkled like diamonds. He felt stronger than ever!
"Thank you, little friend," Barnaby said warmly. "Now I can deliver dreams again. And you—tiny, brave Pearl—you shall be my special helper."
Every night since, Pearl slides down the moon cable back to her bowl. And she knows that somewhere, high in the sky, her friend Barnaby is carrying happy dreams to children everywhere—dreams filled with brave little fish, magical adventures, and the warmth of true friendship.
