The Midnight Pyramid
Lily loved running through her backyard at twilight, when fireflies danced like tiny stars. One evening, she spotted something strange—a glowing pyramid made of crystal, no bigger than a shoebox, nestled among the daisies.
Inside the pyramid sat a miniature sphinx with emerald eyes. "I've been waiting for someone who believes in magic," the sphinx said, its voice like wind chimes. "Will you help me?"
Lily knelt down. "What do you need?"
"My brother sphinx is lost in the Desert of Dreams. I can't reach him alone."
The pyramid suddenly grew until Lily could step inside. Walls shimmered with constellations. Running alongside the sphinx, Lily felt light as moonbeams. They weren't just running—they were flying through swirling colors.
They found the lost sphinx curled beside a lonely oasis. His riddle was simple: "What grows when shared?"
Lily knew instantly. "Love!"
The sphinx smiled, and his lonely oasis bloomed into a garden of friendship.
"Thank you," both sphinxes purred. "You solved the greatest riddle of all—kindness."
Back in her backyard, Lily held the crystal pyramid, now warm against her palm. Every night, she discovered new adventures inside, but the best magic was knowing that friendship could grow anywhere—even in a crystal pyramid the size of her heart.
